Located on the Sierra Madre del Sur, Huatulco is surrounded by nine bays and 36 beaches. This destination in Oaxaca offers more than just sun, sand and sea. With an unbeatable climate, its beaches are arranged along 35 kilometers of coastline that make up nine bays: Conejos, Tangolunda, Chahué, Santa Cruz, Órgano, Maguey, Cacaluta, Chachacual and San Agustín. Huatulco has a tradition of appreciating the first sunrise on the beach at the end of the year. As this activity began around ten years ago, it has grown popularity among visitors and locals who decide to wait for sunrise on Chahué beach before welcoming the new year.
