SANTA MARIA HUATULCO: A PLACE FILLED WITH TRADITION & CULTURE

July 25, 2022 • Hats • Oaxaca

Pack your bags and get everything ready to escape to Huatulco, a paradise in the state of Oaxaca where you can practice activities such as diving and rappelling. Located on the Sierra Madre del Sur, Huatulco is surrounded by nine bays and 36 beaches. This destination in Oaxaca offers more than just sun, sand and sea. It has pristine waterfalls, impetuous rivers, coffee farms, and a surprising range of wildlife. With an unbeatable climate, its beaches are arranged along 35 kilometers of coastline that make up nine bays: Conejos, Tangolunda, Chahué, Santa Cruz, Órgano, Maguey, Cacaluta, Chachacual and San Agustín. At dawn, the energy of the place fills us with good vibes announced by the first rays of the sun. There are a number of reasons why visitors love this tourist destination, as well as some painting and photography artists who have been inspired by these beautiful moments to capture the beauty of this place in their works. Huatulco has a tradition of appreciating the first sunrise on the beach at the end of the year. As this activity began around ten years ago, it has grown popularity among visitors and locals who decide to wait for sunrise on Chahué beach before welcoming the new year. According to the locals, white clothes are believed to facilitate the absorption of good energy and vibrations, and to be filled with joy and positive thoughts.
